In keeping with our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we
established the Vedder Price Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Program
in 2005.
In alignment with our mission to continually attract, retain and promote
to partnership and leadership outstanding lawyers who reect the global
marketplace and the communities that we serve, we are pleased to offer
2L Diversity & Inclusion Scholarships annually. This scholarship provides
a monetary award of $50,000 (less any applicable withholdings and taxes)
and a position in our Summer Associate Program. Each selected scholar will
receive $25,000 (less any applicable withholdings and taxes) upon joining
the rm as a 2L summer associate at the start of the Summer Associate
Program, and the additional $25,000 (less any applicable withholdings and
taxes) will be paid after joining the rm as a full-time associate.
The Scholars join the upcoming Summer Associate Program, working
within a designated practice area. Traditionally, positions are available
within the Labor & Employment, Litigation, Intellectual Property, Finance &
Transactions, Global Transportation Finance and Investment Services teams
(please note that in some ofces, summer associates may work with multiple
transactional groups).
To be eligible, you must be a rising second-year law student whose
background or experience would contribute to the diversity of Vedder Price
and the legal profession. While students from all law schools are welcome
to apply, we ask that applicants have a geographic tie to the ofce to which
they are applying.
Applications must be submitted through our website and will be
accepted in May 2024. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis.
